Dee Kirk Thomas
Contemporary art in paint and textiles
Dee is a mixed media artist living in Hampshire with her tolerant husband and four beautiful cats.
Her studio is a mess of brightly coloured fabrics, photographs, sketchbooks, paints, and numerous quirky items she has collected over the years.

Dee paints with acrylics on canvas, wood or fabrics and uses a variety of tools. Her pieces reflect not only her interest in collage but her love of the textures and imperfections found in coastal and urban areas near her home.

Dee studied at High Wycombe school of Art, Chelsea college of Art and New Buckinghamshire University.
Dee always wanted to be an artist!
Dee always wanted to be an artist!
After art school, where she studied printed surface design, she worked as an artist in the audio visual industry. She ran an art studio and produced marketing films. Later, a chance introduction to modern embroidery regenerated her interest in textiles. Dee regularly exhibits her work as a member of Prism Textile artists and is a member of The Society of Designer Craftsmen.
